Joint Thanksgiving Community Service
Join us for a joint Thanksgiving service and meal at Zion United Methodist Church, with homily by St. Luke’s Pastor Jason Schafer.
LMM Toy Drive
The Lutheran Men in Mission will once again be collecting new toys and new clothing for needy children in our community. Tables will be set up in the Assembly Room on Nov. 24 to receive your gifts. Please have your donations to the church by Sunday, Dec. 15. The items we donate will be delivered to DSS the next day. In past years, you have been most generous in supporting our toy drive. We are counting on you! Thank you.
Homecoming & Golden Age Sunday
Join us for our Homecoming & Golden Age Celebration, where we honor the elders of our congregation and mark 197 years of faithful ministry in our community. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., Worship at 10:30 a.m., followed by a covered dish lunch in the fellowship hall. All are welcome.
Country Fried Pork Supper Fundraiser
Join us for our annual Country Fried Steak Supper Fundraiser! Each plate is $10, and includes fried pork, rice & gravy, cole slaw, and pickles. Drive-through pick-up will be from 5-7 p.m. There will also be a bake sale in the Assembly Room, offering cakes, cookies, candy pickles, preserves and more. Proceeds benefit the new piano fund.
Carson Peters & Iron Mountain Concert
Carson Peters and his band have rapidly developed into a Tennessee treasure that is gaining wide popularity. Carson started playing the fiddle at three. By age four, he was playing in fiddle competitions and jamming at musical festivals. Carson has continued to hone the fiddling and singing talents that God has so graciously given him. Carson has played in a host of events and venues, including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey, Dollywood's Barbeque and Bluegrass Festival, the Grand Ole Opry, CMA Awards Show, and The Voice on NBC. Carson Peters & Iron Mountain entertain audiences performing old-time bluegrass and gospel music.
